Bandwidth Bandwidth refers to the speed you have available on any given connection. This is the maximum amount of throughput your connection can handle. For instance, DSL Internet Providers may say you have 6 Mbps download and 768 Kbps upload. This means the most you will be able to transmit on this connection will be below those thresholds. The bandwidth that we receive is greatly dependant upon the distance from your Local Central Office or Remote Terminal / RT. Bandwidth transport services use ATM Technology.
